The just struggle over politics, which had been unfolding in power positions, was resolved in the light of principles and of the duties set out in its program. This struggle has remained in the day and in the conscience of the people; its judges are sensitive and have not forgotten it, because it happened before their eyes. This is the struggle carried out by our party, which has always been at the forefront of defending the interests of the people. If it had to be represented by a name, it would be the name of the people. For this reason, any action against it is an action against the people. The statement goes on to speak about the links of the Socialist Party with people who suffered under dictatorship and about the necessity for Albania to build a new democratic order, without violence and without exclusions. The text also mentions nighttime persecutions, arrests, and the political use of the former security organs.

Lufta e drejtë përmbi politikës, e cila ishte duke u tirë në qëndrimet në pushtet, e kishte zgjidhur në dritë të parimeve dhe të detyrave që kishte në programin e saj. Kjo luftë ka mbetur në ditën dhe në ndërgjegjen e popullit; gjyqtarët e saj janë të ndjeshëm dhe nuk e kanë harruar, sepse ajo ka ndodhur përpara syve të tyre. Kjo është lufta që ka bërë partia jonë, e cila ka qenë gjithmonë në radhën e parë të mbrojtjes së interesave të popullit. Nëse do të duhej që të përfaqësohej me një emër, ai do të ishte emri i popullit. Për këtë arsye, çdo veprim që vjen kundër saj është veprim kundër popullit. Më tej, deklarata flet për lidhjet e Partisë Socialiste me njerëzit që kanë vuajtur nga diktatura dhe për domosdoshmërinë që Shqipëria të ndërtojë një rend të ri demokratik, pa dhunë dhe pa përjashtime. Teksti përmend edhe ndjekjet e natës, arrestimet dhe përdorimin politik të organeve të dikurshme të sigurisë.

La giusta lotta sulla politica, che si stava svolgendo nelle posizioni di potere, fu risolta alla luce dei principi e dei doveri fissati nel suo programma. Questa lotta è rimasta nel giorno e nella coscienza del popolo; i suoi giudici sono sensibili e non l’hanno dimenticata, perché è avvenuta davanti ai loro occhi. Questa è la lotta portata avanti dal nostro partito, che è sempre stato in prima linea nella difesa degli interessi del popolo. Se dovesse essere rappresentato da un nome, sarebbe il nome del popolo. Per questo motivo, ogni azione contro di esso è un’azione contro il popolo. La dichiarazione parla inoltre dei legami del Partito Socialista con le persone che hanno sofferto sotto la dittatura e della necessità che l’Albania costruisca un nuovo ordine democratico, senza violenza e senza esclusioni. Il testo menziona anche le persecuzioni notturne, gli arresti e l’uso politico degli ex organi di sicurezza.
