NATO asks Milosevic to attack the KLA NATO expressed concern yesterday about Serbian military maneuvers, which are increasing the possibility of a new air campaign, while calling for a political solution for Kosovo. NATO Secretary-General Solana said yesterday in a meeting with U.S. Defense Secretary Cohen that the United States, the European Union, and Russia must do more to stop all armed conflicts continuing in Kosovo. U.S. Defense Secretary Xhaker ordered military commanders in Kosovo to respond to any KLA attack with air strikes. Later, NATO commander for Europe, General Clark, said that a special unit of 6,000 reservists had left the streets of Istanbul for Kosovo. NATO was also concerned yesterday about a Serbian military maneuver in Kosovo. According to observers, these maneuvers could turn into a battlefield.
