Godo met yesterday with intellectuals and citizens from Vlora
Yesterday morning the chairman of the PSSH, Sabri Godo, held a meeting with intellectuals and citizens from Vlora.
He explained the situation in a round-table discussion with citizens from all four sides of the square. In this meeting Mr. Godo spoke about political and government problems, expressing the view that our country should have different policies, not just one. According to him, the majority as well as the opposition forces will contribute to solving the problems related to the future. These, according to Godo, will be achieved by putting the energy of youth and society to work. Godo focused on economic problems, saying that the economy is on the rise and that privatization should be completed. After this meeting, Mr. Godo also had contact with many people and intellectuals who, according to him, should not be involved in political disputes. The PR here, according to him, will seek a solution to the problems that are current and unresolved. He opposed a gathering of parties, saying that an assessment is necessary, and that every party needs to deepen its own policy. He spoke in favor of having as many opinions as possible and not just one single mind. According to him, as a call for dialogue from Godo, the country must find a common path, and from this both the opposition and the majority must assume responsibility so that a climate of understanding and security can be developed for their normalization, in support of the economy. In this meeting he stressed that they would conclude with this issue.
As for the normalization of their relations, on the basis of reciprocity, according to his statements in an inter-state group, he expressed that the PR will always seek to have room to open new windows in different areas of the country's political life, while implementing the constitution and giving due weight to each person's opinion.
In the meeting, which lasted more than two hours, Niko Mëhilli and the PR chairman, Mr. Fjorenë N. Xhelli, were also present.

PS & PD: Raise the flags of congresses

On March 23 and April 4 the congress of the PSSH is to be held. Opposition socialists gather once again on March 22... At the end of March, PS chairman Skënder Gjinushi is expected to convene the congress of the party he leads. Opposition socialists and others are gathering at a time when a series of political and party processes are also being prepared. According to a preliminary calendar, the congress of the Socialist Party of Albania will also include delegates from the districts. For this reason, on these two dates there will also be other developments in politics. One of the most important issues to be examined at these congresses is the electoral program. In this program, reform and citizens’ rights are expected to be brought into focus, along with other internal party issues. Delegates from 5 districts will take part in the PS congress of March 23, while other delegates and an important part of the party forum will participate in the April 4 congress. Another development linked to this is the preparation of candidacies for local elections, where various PS figures are expected to be discussed. On this occasion, at the beginning of April, part of the party structures will also meet to finalize the lists.
Among the delegates, according to PS leaders, organizational problems and the creation of links with local branches will also be addressed. The congress will also discuss how the party can improve communication with the electorate.
As for the PD, at the beginning of March it is expected to hold an important presidency meeting to discuss its organizational structures and preparations for the election campaign. This meeting will also be important for further orienting the party toward the elections.
In this climate, the parties are preparing for the electoral race and are facing internal debates over their candidacies and platforms.
