Is politics moving in Albania?

The Republican Party believes that further changes must be made in Albania. From its structures, it thinks that a certain type of framework should be removed. The Republican Party has proposed the formation of a political government made up of all the major political parties represented in Parliament, and a solution to the crisis by moving into next year through early parliamentary elections and proportional representation. “We have said these things openly in the debates as well, on the basis of the constitution and of the year 1997,” said the Republican Party. The Republican Party is determined to remain in opposition and not in government. It believes that with the elections of 26 May the current legislature and democracy have been defeated. Participation in these elections, according to it, was neither free nor regular, and therefore they lacked legitimacy. The country’s political movement should be aimed at reforming the system through the creation of new political and legal institutions that would lead to early pluralist elections on the basis of a new constitution and a new electoral code, the Republican Party stresses. It further underlines that the reorganization of the country should not be carried out through the political force competing in the elections of 26 May, but through a transitional government whose objective would be integration into Europe. In the current situation, the Republican Party asks that the activity of the parliament of the present legislature be suspended, while for resolving the crisis the right thing is for all political forces to enter the new parliament on equal footing, each fulfilling its own constitutional role. Messages and statements in attempts to resolve the political crisis have so far been cautious from each side. President Sali Berisha, in a meeting with representatives of the Republican Party, said that after the presidential elections, in spring 1997, all political parties would be asked to compete in free and fair elections. He said the work of the parliament of this legislature would continue until the end of the mandate and that early elections would not allow stability in the country. On the other hand, the Socialist Party has also called for new elections.

The greatest right is a left-wing government

The new viewpoints presented by the Republican Party, according to the director of the PBD newspaper, came after movements at the grassroots level, and in his view should lead to reform of the party and government. What is accompanied by the stance of the People’s League has made it possible to reconsider the way of governing. He notes that from the beginning of the debate on the 26 May elections, giving importance to the conditions set for the future government, it has been said that the socialists’ right to take power has not yet been ruled out. In the PD and within the opposition, there have also been some views that the election results could produce a left-wing government. It is clear that there is also a larger number of citizens who seek the future on the basis of a new policy that aims at changes at the end of the work of collecting documentation and movement. His decision is linked to another government. For this reason, the intervention of Mr. Koja, as well as the other discussions, have been made in its service. But under these conditions, one thing is clear: the right-wing government will not base its appeals on the decree of international relations.

Kurt Kola’s statement has nothing to do with LDKH

It is emphasized once again that all working people have the right to decide their own political change. At the second conference earlier, and at a related conference, there was an important vote to see how the future could be approached. What is important is that this was not done through other changes. The international report differed from a need, in a particular way, in relation to their participation. In the exclusive interview given yesterday to the newspaper "Koha Jonë", Mr. Kurt Kola stressed the importance of his institution, an issue he has raised in the past. He notes that the country’s leadership will take responsibility for the arrival of leaders, who will go on to work for more members. He believes that the future lies with the participation of all political forces and not in the name of any party. In previous statements, Mr. Kola emphasized that the structures of this country have become aware of Albanians’ ties to the former system, and that LDKH has also stated that there should not only be a future government, but not another government that would set things on the basis of its own interests. In its statement, it was clear that the political transition and the move to a new system should be done not by means of a campaign of struggle, but by law and by the citizens’ trust. In the end, it stressed that there should be no obstacle to establishing a pluralist system.

K. Kola’s stance - personal

The leader of the “Legality Movement” Party, seeking proximity with PBD and Petri Gurri, with no one closer to him, wants to impose the establishment of a pluralist and democratic system. But his right must be assessed and examined carefully. Kola, as a former head of state, seems to aim to preserve and define his balances with the Socialist Party. At the same time, he is also driven by his personal ambition. He has not gained much from the elections of 26 May, which he considers fair, and this has nothing in common with the way Mr. Kurt Kola governs, because LDKH was created with its own members, who have continued the democracy of Durrës. His intention is to define a fair government so that in the next Assembly it is upheld with a strongly personal tone in order to improve victories.

PS calls its people out into the square, PQ is left alone

The center pole is drawing its leaders into a deep reorganization. The chairman of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano, has sent an open letter with his leaders in Tirana, asking them to activate the branches and be closer to the public. Center-left party members have said they must wait for the decisions of the parties that entered the coalition. It appears a movement has begun in the PSD, in the tenth party? Stronger and seeking the first decisions. If they preserve their opposition, part of the center will remain independent, but there will also be more movements that have sought it as part of governance. In addition, they are making an effort to use their political experience by giving more importance to the future. Apparently, part of their movement will also be a major change in their structure, which is one of the first ideas ahead of the recent meetings with representatives of other parties. And, if they are willing to help, they will have the opportunity to join more with others. In a meeting, which will also include members of Parliament, held on 26 May, across the country. Their good cooperation in the capital will make it possible to solve all the concerns that have arisen in the different groups. Finally, this is an effort to create more cooperation. Several representatives of parties and municipalities from around the country were received at the PS headquarters in Tirana to discuss a new and broad framework. On the other hand, the chairman of the structured party, which is now in government, said that the situation must improve further, while the head of the center party will participate in the assembly. Likewise, his stance will be tied to a new direction in the coming days, and if another agreement is reached, there will then be new decisions. These are new movements that should help the country and make the division fairer. As they develop, party members will remain in touch with future elections to determine their goals. At the same time, their selection will be important for the country’s future. In this way, they aim to gain more support in future meetings. On the other hand, another meeting was held with party leaders and representatives of the center. Likewise, a possible change is pending to improve hopes in governance. In the end, it was said that the center groups will remain close to the citizens and will seek their future in a better way.
