The temporariness of officials without status, the malaise of local power

Run, men, in the name of progress For local government to ensure the normal functioning of its activity, it can proceed in two ways: through the establishment of normal rules for the use of public services, or through efforts to support its own interests. Today we will say that some local authorities, led by commissioners appointed by them to establish an unlawful situation in the municipality, are taking from this situation all the most important revenues in order to preserve their power and protect those who do not obey the law. This familiar phenomenon that kills democracy will continue until the end of this century. For the use of power by those who seized it by force, without asking the people’s vote and without respecting legal norms, leads them only toward defeat. Democracy cannot be imposed by force. It is not embraced by a people that is angry and deceived. It requires stable, legal forms and procedures acceptable to everyone in a society far more advanced than ours.
