USAID: More than 80,000 dollars in investments in Lezhë
For three years, Lezhë has lived with the anxiety of floods.
In recent days, too, thousands of hectares of crops, as well as homes, have faced the fear and terror of rising waters.
To prevent this phenomenon, so common in this district, USAID has a special program worth more than 80,000 dollars, aimed at afforesting an area of 18,400 ha. The project will cover areas such as Manati, Gjadër and Balldren, which lie below water level.
This fund will also be used to repair and maintain the existing drainage pumping stations, which have been damaged.
