Shehu of the PD has withdrawn 2 million dollars from "Gjallica"
Villagers: They armed us by promising us high wages. The recruitment was done by the deputy.
The opposition does not enter the election. Berisha is courting the IMF and the hand of SHIK.
Or with a fair electoral law, or elections like in the time of the Democratic Front.
Berisha is not invincible.
Despite his fierce struggle, Berisha’s PD is insisting that rival parties be satisfied with being guaranteed appropriate representation in parliament. Instead of dealing with the election issue, Berisha is only dealing with his conflicts with SHIK. It is understood that Mr. Berisha, in order to prevent the growing attacks against the government, has intensified contacts with his people in the secret services institution. Experts see this as proof that the head of the executive is once again preparing an unbalanced terrain ahead of the elections. In the democratic world such actions are done to correct the situation, whereas here they are being done to strengthen the power of a single party. Time will tell to what extent the internal rivalry within the PD will be stopped, which in fact is leading to a deep political crisis.
Even in the week that has just passed, the PD is trying to keep a tight grip on its relationship with the other parties and strengthen its electoral monopoly. The initiative for the so-called “opposition representation formulas” has gone further than a mere idea of votes. This has been demonstrated by its actions and by its relationship with the institutions that are truly part of the elections. Opposition parties have repeatedly accused Berisha of trying, through efforts to control the security structures, to keep the electoral process under control. He has done this by tying it to his own dealings with SHIK and by using an atmosphere of fear and insecurity. Faced with this, the opposition insists that elections must be held under a fair law and with an administration that does not allow manipulation. Otherwise, it is warned that the elections will take place as in the time of the Democratic Front, with only a formal pluralism.
