[Partially cut off] emerge from the crisis

The United Albanian Right is the most trusted anti-communist formation in the electoral campaign. [Partially cut off] most trusted anti-communist formation in the electoral campaign. It does not carry within itself the sins of the Albanian crisis. Its unequivocal stance toward communism grouped within PS and the communism hidden like an ostrich within PD and its satellites constitutes a guarantee of credibility for the electorate. The United Right said it openly yesterday: let us leave the final alliances between PS and PD, two sister parties nourished by the same source—that of the former communists who held power under the Labour Party. Thus, the new political formation representing the patriotic Right openly declares that it will not flirt with the authoritarian communists and neocommunists of President Berisha. The United Right does not make its contract to enter the elections with Berisha and his party, but with the people, with the electorate, and with all those disappointed by the quixotic fight against communism when it is led by former communists from the red nomenklatura. Communism cannot be defeated by communists, even when they shout “fight against the reds” and act using the methods of the reds. A red one cannot turn blue with a discarded membership card. The United Right will not compromise the contract it has made with its electorate in Berisha’s offices. The servile satellites of the party that PD gathers under its wing resemble insatiable gluttons, but the insatiable man’s pocket has no room for Laço, Bushati, or Ndreu, let alone Durollari. And Berisha has no regard for any allies, treating them like apprentices and leaving them like beaten dogs outside the door. Berisha wants allies only to get across the river. His actions have shown how “loyal” he has been to his alliance partners. Berisha’s philosophy is simple: “Build a barricade and get over it.” The Albanian electorate, amid a deep crisis of confidence and unmoved by the hysterical cries of PS and PD at rallies, must send the United Albanian Right to parliament and vote for its candidates. Only the right-wingers—not the demagogues and charlatans—will lead Albania out of the crisis.
