Albania in the grip of bipolarization
Democracy provoked by intolerance and political hysteria
In their artificial confrontation, PD and PS are bringing their fixed bipolar ideas out into the open, beyond political commitments. They are fighting over metaphysical issues, on the basis of neo-communist doctrines. As a result, we are seeing an upset of the balance, not only political but also social. The manipulative aim is irrelevant here. Perhaps there is something connected with the political subconscious. But the actors involved are blind and troubled by their motives. The number of parties that call themselves right-wing keeps growing amid the wave of protests and rallies. Indeed, some of them even fantasize about provisional governments dominated by them, with perhaps a ministerial portfolio reserved for DBSH! The left in power is also encouraging the upsetting of the balance. All its activity has entered a dubious course. Continued on page 3
