Democrats on the right, in the centre or on the left know that democracy is the only political system with the moral and political strength to be reborn when it is suppressed and to prevail even in the most difficult circumstances.
The ongoing dialogue between government and opposition safeguards peace in the face of destruction, intolerance, mass hysteria, confusion, paralysis and collapse, all of which are evident in Albanian economic and political life. The new Prime Minister, Majko, stated yesterday that he is committed to creating a calm psychological climate so that dialogue between government and opposition can begin. But the PD's position is that Majko will find it difficult, since the psychology of socialist governance has not changed. The new Prime Minister lacks institutional experience in managing insurmountable crises, all the more so because finding a lasting political solution is not part of his mission.
