. Two parties, two rival gangs. In the mass survey of the capital’s residents broadcast on the Telearberia and TVSH screens, people spoke with one voice: “Death to criminals, execution for crime.” But with the parties, things are not going that way: one strikes the nail, the other the horseshoe—each is trying to gain political capital from crime and its victims. Albanians, more than anything, honor the dead; there is no need to organize rallies to defend their honor. They pay their respects at home and at the graves. You have even less right to do so when you maliciously try to profit from someone who has fallen into crime’s trap. When the culprit is still unknown, that is all the more reason to deny you the right to benefit. The fact is that crime is on the offensive against the state. Politics is encouraging that offensive; put bluntly, it is the gasoline setting Albania ablaze. The destructiveness of the PD and its fabrications and lies is met with the megalomania of the opposition parties. Instead of taking a firm stand against crime, the left-wing coalition finds time to spread nonsense about solidarity with crime. Just five parties cannot rein in the criminals. They are seeking political capital even from crime. Yesterday, five parties in the governing coalition agreed to sign a Pact against organized crime. More than an act of solidarity in defense of the country’s interests, this pact [text unclear] a phenomenon of exploiting crime. This is what happened two days ago…
