An official statement merely provides the statistics and announces that the speedboat will be arrested. In the face of this horribly ominous scene, the phenomenon of the Mafia is strengthening its criminal power, while people in power are trying to gain entry into European organizations to ensure their own survival. The latest massacre in the Adriatic is a political murder. The Ministry of the Interior had pledged to take all measures to prevent clandestine emigration, monitoring compliance with the coastal border in order to protect territories threatened by mafia groups. But only superficial measures have been implemented. The illegal transport of citizens has not only gone unprevented, but it is people linked to those in power who organize the clandestine traffic.
