The international community, late in Kosovo
The violent events in Kosovo had found Albanian politics and the Albanian state unprepared long before.
President Meidani’s statement that he had foreseen the worsening situation and had therefore raised the resolution of the Kosovo issue at every meeting does not absolve the mother country’s state. For his part, Prime Minister Nano has also tried to appear concerned at the “blitz” press conference, but more than a slap against anyone else, the violence in Kosovo is a heavy slap from Milosheviç in the face of the Albanian government leader.
