The value of the political shares of PS and PD falls

By Gëzim LULI After a long game in the kingdom of absurdity, PD is finally talking to itself, like someone sick with fever who, after a long delirium, returns to the path of everyday, normal life. Suddenly, almost after two years of tension, there is talk of an immediate dialogue between the two giants of Albanian politics. The turnaround is so swift that many people still feel surprised, many others are skeptical, while a good number from the two opposing camps do not know what to say, so bewildered are they. Some speak of the beginning of a dialogue; many speak of an agreement that resembles an iceberg, with only a very small part visible. The press has begun discussing some of the elements of this agreement, and this topic has also become the subject of conversation in every setting, whether political or otherwise. Perhaps the inspiration is an external factor: for two years, it has been urging Albanian politicians to engage in dialogue. The political-war tactics adopted by PD were being pursued without adequate support, at home or abroad. The leadership p[s]ajpo was feeling, day by day and increasingly quickly, an irrecoverable loss of consensus, especially after 14 Sh-tatorit. The electoral tests of the by-elections and the referendum were signaling a decline in the political shares of the two main sides of Albanian politics. The political objectives PD had after the years and were deepening in Nan[o]s were too high to overcome. After Nano’s fall, Berish[a]j Majko was a bluff. [illegible passage]
