The West “manages” the defeat
Although no agreement was signed at Rambouillet, the West is making efforts to come out with optimistic statements. Meanwhile, both the Albanians and the Serbs have cast doubt on the second round of talks, which will begin on 15 March. The KLA representative, Ashin Thaci, has called on the Albanians to strengthen their resistance and not be deceived by Western propaganda. Just how successful the Great Powers were at Rambouillet is made quite clear by the challenge issued by Russian Foreign Minister Ivanov, who described the conclusion of the first round of talks as a “Positive result” following “Artificial dramatization.” Rambouillet is, in every respect, a spectacular failure of international diplomacy, given that Moscow’s views have prevailed. Ironically, after this “considerable step forward,” the Great Powers are now talking about “the parties’ restraint.” Peace has the beauty of a huge cloud, or the threat of a future war. It is no coincidence that Mrs. Albright repeats, “it has a limit in-[?]”

This time, the lawyers were convinced that the Supreme Court would change this measure, which for several months in a row has been making its way through the doors of all three levels of the courts. According to lawyer Liljana Korfava, Alimuçaj should have been released
