The Turkish prime minister drops a “bombshell” on Majko

It must be said that, as a result of the war in Kosovo, many of the Balkan countries emerged ideologically stronger, both in terms of prosperity and in a profoundly problematic sense—something that the grandiosity and misguided political engagement of our rulers cannot quite grasp. Gradually, we are coming to see that we have been nothing but executors, often with excessive self-confidence, of the will that took shape at the beginning of the century, when the Great Powers set Albania’s absurd borders. Now that this will is being revived by the Albanians themselves—even if they are not dealing directly with the issue of borders—we are managing to create an interlude of peaceful balance, also influencing the psychology of our neighbours. He attended primary school in Tirana, while he completed secondary school in Shkodër, a highly developed patriotic, cultural and political centre. Osman first encountered the patriotic and democratic ideas of his professors and friends in environments filled with the new nationalist and progressive ideas of the time. Page 5

Godo: Crime was imported into Albania

“It seems that one of the members of the Italian delegation did not have accurate information, since they are making comments only about Albania.” This is what the chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee, Sabri Godo, said yesterday after meeting with Italian senators and MPs from the Schengen Committee. At the centre of this conversation was Page 3
