Milošević’s game does not deserve attention
By Agim BAÇI
A peace plan has appeared on the horizon of the conflict in Kosovo. The major powers have made an unexpected move, but NATO recognizes only its five points. As a diplomatic move, it is indeed to be welcomed, since whatever the outcome, it is the political decision that is signed. But is it normal in terms of the way and the timing in which this plan appeared on the scene? Was there any reason for it to enter the political arena precisely at this time, and does it serve a just resolution of the Kosovo issue? Attacking a state’s embassy is, of course, an extremely serious matter. When it is situated in another country and is attacked there, the responsibility is even greater. All the more so when the punitive intervention in the former former Yugoslavia (Serbia) is carried out in the name of averting a humanitarian catastrophe.
The Chinese know this very well, as do all Easterners, and, knowing how to conduct propaganda in the East, they raised their voices to the heavens, up to the heights at which Western aircraft fly. They convened the Security Council and
