Comedy for peace
It seems that the International Community, after reaching the peace agreement, is no longer interested in Milošević and his fate. “The peace agreement would be a parody if it allowed Milošević to remain in power,” said U.S. Senator Hell. And how could it be otherwise? Although Milošević has so far fulfilled none of his commitments to peace, he has begun to be portrayed as a bringer of peace. The heaviest mockery of peace is the artillery shelling he carries out every day against Albanian territories in Has and Krumë, where there have also been victims of the bombardments. It is abundantly clear to all international analysts that genuine peace cannot be achieved without removing Milošević. Slobodan is a man of war and throughout his political career he has not worked for peace. His criminal mission came to an end when Yugoslavia was destroyed and Bosnia and Kosovo were filled with victims. The new reality, created after NATO’s air bombardments in the cause of peace, will seek to establish a peaceful life for the region’s future, and a change oriented toward the future rules out dictators such as Milošević, who are subject to the International Court for war crimes.
