The authority of the UN put to the test

The G-8 resolution, which authorizes a peacekeeping force for Kosovo with NATO at its head, is expected to be submitted for approval to the UN Security Council. While Russia is seeking to be part of the peace by agreeing to the draft resolution, it is China that currently holds the fate of the Resolution—but not the fate of peace—in its hands.
