A new tactic by the Democrats

After a long divorce from Parliament, the Democratic MPs will gather alongside the Socialists today to begin a new political battle. This time the PD has decided to change its tactics. It will fight with the electoral weapons of the right. The Democratic leadership has declared that it will take a firmer stance on property, without clarifying what the new platform for the land law will be. The Democrats have also stated that they see inconsistencies with the Constitution in the process of implementing the laws. In this context, “the PD will seek the reinstatement of the laws.” As can be seen, the PD is entering Parliament with concise and unified “visions” that represent only the leadership. The Democrats need a new political leader and have chosen the issues of property and the Constitution. The issue is clear: by using the language of capitalism and institutionalism, the Democrats aim to preserve the bipolar relations. Thus, the revolutionary spirit between the two large parliamentary groups will be marked by new developments here. The majority may also make some institutional repairs, in full agreement with the Democrats, just as they approved Land Law No. 7501. Cooperation between the PS and PD will always produce a hybrid or a deception. Since we do not have a genuine market economy, “nominalist” tricks with a former-communist spirit will hold the monopoly. The aim is to leave the genuine opposition without a chance...
