Prof. Shaban Demiraj I think that, and the long-term perspective of being, especially without the pseudopoliticians, in one way or another, have contributed to the political confrontation in the Albanian political sphere at the turn of the two centuries. Writers, as always, are concerned by political developments and are directly affected by yesterday’s or today’s phenomena. As a result, in a certain way through their poetic and literary works, they have played a major role in achieving social peace. This gives hope for the current situation as well. In recent years there has been a great leap in party movements and at the same time a marked differentiation among them, creating a sort of variety that is also reflected in the way segments of the population and social groups think. Naturally, the international factor also has its place here, and through its influence it may have played a role in the creation of certain political forces. But there is also an internal factor that has brought about special and rather delicate circumstances in the sphere of political life. Under the conditions of prolonged Albanian transition, one often observes a highly electrified political climate among different forces and segments, which has left serious marks on social life. This fragile society urgently needs greater calm and increased maturity from the political class. Only in this way can unnecessary conflicts be overcome and the right climate created for democratic coexistence. P. 3
