. P. 3. Socialist governments without legitimacy. Statement by the PR Presidium. The PR Presidium is calling on the PS to act, creating the conditions for a possible social conflict: 3- The loss of every possible opportunity to benefit from the International Community and the Stability Pact. The Republican Party also holds the President of the Republic, Rexhep Meidani, responsible for any kind of regressive PS policy; he must not endlessly decree the appointment of discredited socialist governments that have nothing in common with citizens’ interests. The PR, through all its representatives, will ask the institutions not to recognize or approve another socialist government. The PR also instructs its representative in Parliament to argue firmly against this party’s every further act of socialist governance. The PR government holds the socialist majority responsible for the grave crisis in the country, corruption, smuggling, crime and organized crime, the hopeless state of Albanian society, as well as the destruction of opportunities for Albania’s integration into the developments of the Stability Pact. This majority has no right to cobble together another government following the resignation of Prime Minister Pandeli Majko. We warn that any tendentious action, any attempt by this majority to retain power in the hands of mafia clans at the expense of the present and future interests of Albanians, will result in: 1- The political, economic and social life of the country being controlled by the political mafia; 2- The accumulation of negative energies being fostered by the PS, creating the conditions for a possible social conflict; 3- The loss of every possible opportunity to benefit from the International Community and the Stability Pact.
