The stale game of employment from Nano to Çeço

THE GOVERNMENT: THE STALE GAME OF EMPLOYMENT FROM NANODERU TO ÇEÇO By 2001 we will employ 200 thousand people. The game of employment has taken on a comic character, although it has become part of many electoral campaigns of power over the years. 9?5? made this promise in 1996, after promising to employ 250 thousand people, but gave no explanation as to whether his own promise and the second promise were surpassed. At least that is what happened. 92? after presenting the budget in 99, he made this promise with me? adding that the effect of the promise made before the local elections has been achieved? Thus, by calculation, 200 thousand people amount to 55 thousand newcomers who no? 100 days, after the 50 thousand announced by the government in the “Covenant of Trust” could help in my? of employment? “yours”, for a fifth? of 5 thousand. However, the present speaks to the former?, the present speaks to the former? to? in a fable, to understand how the declared employment policy has gone. Why do? one by one. The first for liberalization. Why do? for privatization? The second announced 100 thousand jobs by 2001. Ber? the third? “on the way”. “If there were also other jobs?” E. 8 E. Vincauli

WHY DOES ANGJELI KEEP SILENT AND WHY DOES HE SPEAK?

By Ilir Alia Yesterday the teachers were informed, the teachers of the “TYSË” school, that on Wednesday an “important” meeting would be held with the Minister of Education, Ethem Ruka, in the premises of the Greek representation. The announcement was kept strictly secret; neither the teachers nor the students would be informed. The reason for the secrecy was simple. For the first time, the Minister of Education of Nano’s government was being presented before the teachers and students of Tirana’s first Greek private school. This meeting was not opened even by Angjeli himself, the director of the “TYSË” school. As was fitting, the host should have been the first to greet and introduce the special guest, but instead it was done by an unidentified teacher, who said he was a lecturer at the University of Tirana and, after a few protocol formulas, gave the floor to the Minister of Education. Ethem Ruka appeared surprised to be visiting this school for the first time. In fact, he was there to give prominence to a major event in the Greek diplomatic circle, the school “TYSË”. Its director, the Greek citizen Verdhis, had returned there at the beginning of this year, after leaving at the beginning of November and not returning. At least that is what devriali reported, after checking his letter? Dedicated to Archbishop Anastas, in which he declared that he had in hand shocking evidence about the anti-Albanian activity of the Greek representation in Albania, for a number of “unjust” of the entered? for other matters. However, the entire mystery of concealing this truth came to an end. At least in the premises where only the teachers of the “TYSË” school were invited. Its doors were closed and guarded by a private guard, while its students were taken outside to avoid contact with the news. What was heard at that meeting was worth noting. Minister Ruka spoke at length about the excellent Albanian-Greek relations, the school’s mission, its operation in accordance with the law, and the government’s willingness to support it. He avoided any reference to the Verdhis scandal and why he had returned. Nothing was said about his letter, it was not clarified whether it was authentic, nor about the accusations that had circulated. Meanwhile, director Angjeli, who should have spoken first or at least explained the matter to the staff, remained silent. Later, when the silence became unbearable, he spoke. But he spoke like a man trying to put out a fire with words, not with truths. And then the question remains: why does Angjeli keep silent and why does he speak?
