Romanian Parliament returns properties to their rightful owners

What are the Albanian Government and Parliament waiting for? The Romanian Parliament began its work in this century with Law No. 1 of 11.01.2000, “On the restoration of the right to property over agricultural and forest land.” Before discussing this law, we consider it necessary to look back at the Romanian state’s earlier laws on this issue. With the overthrow of communism, President Iliesku came to power in Romania in 1991. At that time, the Romanian Parliament passed that year’s Cadastral Law No. 18. That law was similar to the Albanian Land Law No. 7501, dated 19.7.1991, but we can say it was much better than the Albanian law, because the Romanian law recognized every family as a rightful owner and returned to it 10 hectares of agricultural land from its own land; nevertheless, Romanian rightful owners called it a communist law.
