Endless paradoxes
By Agim BAÇI
Albania is a country in the world where the life of the citizen is valued very little. The smell of food poisoning, which was discussed during the week that passed, was somehow forgotten when some people in politics came forward. That was enough to set aside a problem in which not only one person, but hundreds, can die. Only for one of the events of the past week, which surprised the whole country, we learned that two nurses did nothing other than use another medicine that killed a child. For this, surprisingly, instead of being scandalized by the truth of the case or even by the fact that it should have happened, we continued asking who is to blame and turned our heads toward politics. Why does this happen to us? What is this feeling about respecting work and children? How can the public opinion created around behavior toward human beings be so terrible? How can it be frightening to think that with such workers that service should be in its place? How can news like this be possible too? What should the police do? We are in a country where anything can happen, where you can never be calm. Where no one seems to understand that a child needs help just like an adult, that there is a time for holidays, and that there is a time to rest. Dialysis / One treatment session costs 4 days of life
The sick are dying
Patients with dialysis who are at the hemodialysis center of Hospital No. 1 will also be able to receive another dialysis session. The news comes from the office of the director of this hospital. The well-known doctor Dr. Petraq Petrela stated that currently the number of dialysis sessions in Albania is very limited. Since many patients are presenting for treatment, there are not enough machines. This means that each of them can undergo treatment only once every 4 days of life. According to him, this phenomenon is very harmful for patients who receive this kind of treatment. There is no possibility to treat other diseases either. The Ministry of Health of the Republic did not respond to the event, describing the news as “there are only 4 out of 3564 companies”
Only 4 out of 3564 companies are punished
Construction is extremely dangerous, the supervisor is missing
The process of building sidewalks, and of every side that begins from the map of Albania and the roads without investment, every day. Often a construction in Tirana goes on for hundreds of meters without reaching the end. These days builders have become a nightmare for passersby. Meanwhile, the supervisor of the construction works continues to be free. In many of them around 500 signatures have been missing from the document, while in the Tirana district there are more than 3560 supervisors. In Albania only 4 of them have ever been punished. According to the Ministry of Public Works, the supervisor is a profession that requires competence with files and diplomas, but it often happens that the builders do not comply [?.]
