Vlora in mourning. The search for the clandestine migrants yields no results
VLORA - Vlora is in deep mourning, and the news arriving from Italy only deepens the city's pain: there is no hope of finding the 15 Albanians who on Friday evening were swallowed by the cruelty of the sea and fate. Bad weather has forced the Italian navy units, which set out this morning to continue searching for other bodies, to turn back again. The rough sea - up to force 5 - has made navigation impossible for the vessels of the Otranto Port Authority and the Financial Guard.

But the Laç man ends up in prison
TIRANA - A 25-year-old, a revolver and a number of home-made bullets. It is winter 1971, and someone has conceived the most dangerous "adventure" imaginable at the time: to kill the dictator Enver Hoxha, whom he considers the cause of the heaviest misfortune for his own people. Testimonies from fellow clandestine countrymen tell of one of the most titanic attempts ever to have taken place in Albania, an idea to kill, under circumstances still unknown, the man at the head of the dictatorship in Albania.

Clandestine migration:
"Meksi must answer"
TIRANA - The republican party's immediate reaction to the tragedy of the clandestine migrants. Yesterday, its leader Sabri Godo described this event as the peak of clandestine migration and instructed the republican party's parliamentary representative to urgently request an interpellation with Prime Minister Meksi. Referring to the figures on clandestine emigration, the Republican Party described the phenomenon as "a serious hemorrhage".

Teaching in a classroom without doors and windows...
This is the fate of the children of the village of Okshtun
Teaching in a classroom
without doors and windows...
KAVAJË - Winter has stubbornly whitened the village of Okshtun in Kavajë... And those who feel the cold more than any other, are the damp, the not-warm-at-all, miserable little Albanian children. With slates in hand, they lined up as they did on the roads of Okshtun. The reason is simple: for them it is extremely difficult; in case of heavy rain it is even impossible to attend their lessons at their school. Or rather, at what should be their school. There, only wind, rain and hail have invaded the lessons, having "occupied" without a trace of resistance the classrooms and desks where the children should be studying.
This is because in the school there are completely, completely no doors or windows. Fortunately the walls have not yet fallen... The reason why the missing items have not yet been replaced is still unknown.
One thing is certain: the principal and the teaching and pedagogical staff continue to draw their salaries regularly. So do the commune employees, as well as the education officials for the district of Kavajë. Surprisingly, the teachers of woodworking and metalwork also continue to be paid, although there is never any raw material, not even for the school doors, let alone for the lessons. Nevertheless, the classrooms are not always empty. A ray of sunshine and a little clear sky are enough, and the little ones appear and head to school like birds...
They go to school asking the earth for "permission", begging the sky. Perhaps because the hope it sends them is greater, because the sky is closer than the offices of local government and the education directorate... at times. At least that is the truth in Okshtun.
