Candidates’ signatures under expert examination
A filter from the Election Commission to analyze the sincerity of the documentation Candidates’ signatures under expert examination The verification period will last three days TIRANA - Expert examination for suspicious signatures. This is one of the filters the Central Commission will apply to phantom signatures. A graphological examination in the criminalistics laboratories will determine whether the 400 signatures for a candidate are genuinely such or whether they are merely fake signatures. Civil records will also examine the authenticity of identity cards. The Central Commission will call on the civil registry offices to help "clean up" inaccuracies in passports. These were two of the proposals put forward during marathon meetings at the central electoral штаб. It appears that it is mainly the smaller parties that suffer from the problem of irregular signatures and passports. On page 3 Central Commission

Jupe and Rama at risk of disqualification
Irregularity in the documentation? Jupe and Rama at risk of disqualification TIRANA - Even a simple document can have a negative effect, especially during a parliamentary election period. A practical example is that of two journalists from "Zëri i Popullit" / peasant-deputies for candidacy on the Socialist list, who in recent days have themselves been affected because the Central Election Commission has deemed the documents they submitted "irregular." It has not yet been fully confirmed, but it is very likely that among the best-known names from "ZP". On page 3
PS’s Legisi comes out clean: a single "K" was to blame
Appeal saves his honour but not his candidacy
TIRANA - Former Socialist MP Ndre Legisi had no connection with the State Security.
Yesterday, Legisi was finally able to obtain a certificate clearing his name. "It is simply a mix-up in the lists compiled by the commission," his lawyer stated after it was learned that what had ruled Ndreko Legisi out had been an extra "K" in his name, which apparently had identified someone else. Attack by lawyers on judges
Anti-genocide, two trials blocked: Again after the elections? Attack by lawyers on judges "They side with the prosecution during the proceedings" TIRANA - The accused in the genocide case are preparing to be tried after the elections. The tactic of lawyers’ requests to exclude the trial panel from the proceedings has caused yet another case against them to stall. Yesterday, the judge Gjin Gjoçi was forced to take the file and postpone the trial after his conducting of the hearing was rejected by the lawyers of the accused Piro Kondi, Qirjako Mihali and Sulejman Bashita. Three days earlier, the same request had "blocked" the case against Foto Çami, Prokop Murro, Muho Asllani, Dilaver Bengasi and Qaqo Nesho. On page 5
The man of weather sets
TIRANA - One of the most likable figures in the history of Albanian Television has passed away in recent days.
Petrit Leka had long since parted ways with the small screen, spending his days like many pensioners, yet he was remembered by many. It seems that the key to his human success was precisely that not many people envied him, including some in television opinion-making circles. Petrit knew how to laugh, a quality that was very rare then. Before we extinguish "Pitkin in the Hospital", "Xhemilja" or "The Other on Screen" - the shows that accompanied him for many years over a few years - let us note his special and pleasant face, which showed how the weather would be the next day. "A weather front tending to move up and down, bringing our eastward conditions and this will bring such and such a consequence..." - that is how he would say it; perhaps we did not pay too much attention to the subtleties Petrit explained, but they inspired a good enthusiasm. In the end we all had it clear: the next day could be called calm, there would be no rain, and therefore Petrit would be wholly in the pleasant feeling of the news that lit up his face. This joy, the joy of a child who would go out clean the next day, will always remain the symbol of the "man of weather".

Senna, a legend that never dies
IMOLA - Two years ago, tears and pain for the loss of Ayrton
IMOLA/ Two years ago, tears and pain for the loss of Ayrton Senna, a legend that never dies Schummy: "The dream was to beat him on the track" IMOLA - Sunday, 1 May 1994. A "Williams" car, traveling at over 300 km/h, burst into flames in an instant. Under the shadow of the Benetton of world champion Michael Schumacher. A sharp bend, the one now called the "Senna corner," the blue car goes out of control and with terrible force smashes into the safety barriers of the Imola circuit. A pause, and then everything became painfully clear. Ayrton Senna, the champion of champions, is in a coma. And while the race, for the sake of millions, continued, everyone’s attention turned to the hospital in Bologna, where the Brazilian spent the last moments of his life. Dramatic hours. At 19:00 the announcement came. Ayrton is no longer alive. Tears and grief from everyone for the Brazilian Formula 1 champion, perhaps the greatest of all time. Two years have passed since his tragic death, but memories of him are still fresh. On page 7 Legendary Ayrton Senna
