Kadria wanted: Interpol assists

TIRANË - The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic declares the spouses Shëmsie and Kani Kadria wanted and will ask Interpol to apprehend them. The decision was made yesterday concerning the two heads of the “Gjallica” company, who have left Albania for the first time. Shëmsie Kadria “escaped” on Monday from Rinas on the Tiranë–Istanbul flight. While her colleague Fitim Çerdhali-lilupo prepares to go to trial, the number one of this company has apparently taken off, seemingly having been tipped off beforehand about what was going to happen. A person who was supposed to travel [?] on this flight testified that she was escorted [?] at Rinas by a car with official plates; an official seeking identification measures suspected that the car belonged to the Democratic Women’s Forum. However, none of this has been confirmed. A person who had been a client of this company said that the plane carried construction goods, without landing in Istanbul but instead in Izmir, where Kadria was reportedly awaited. Kadria had kept a low profile for a few days after returning to Albania and had been staying almost constantly in neighbourhoods in Tiranë. Now both she and her husband, Kani Kadria, the two [?] of the company, have been declared wanted, and Shëmsie is also being sought through an Interpol notice. Company sources say that Kadria had been employed in several [?] and that the company is short by around 6 million dollars.
