Parliament without Berisha’s permission

Nano reacts unexpectedly after the President’s invitation to meet Yesterday the head of state called for talks to form the new government. The PS leader: "He has no moral right, not his" WHO IS FOOLING WHOM? Revelation: "The police protect you" TIRANA - "The Parliament will be convened without the president’s permission". This is how Fatos Nano spoke yesterday, only a few hours after the invitation extended by Sali Berisha. The request for a meeting at the presidency before the head of state’s decision on the decree for the new government has thrown the Socialist leader off balance. Yesterday afternoon at the pink headquarters, Nano said that he does not need the request of a man who no longer holds any office. "I recognize no procedure other than the will of the people’s elected representatives and the decisions of the constitutional institutions," Nano said. The future prime minister did not accept talks at the presidency either, and he was just as dismissive of Berisha’s opinion regarding his decision. "If it must be convened in a situation where the president no longer has any political or legal powers, he can no longer play games," Nano said. He added that the decision will be taken by the Assembly and by the forces that won the elections. Nano also declared that there are no longer any political or constitutional obstacles to this. "It is a matter that belongs only to the new parliamentary majority." Sali Berisha yesterday requested a meeting for consultations regarding the formation of the new government, but this invitation has prompted an immediate reaction from the Socialists. KLOSI: "HERE IS WHY I DRESSED AS A MULLA" TIRANA - "To brighten up the lack of sermons." That was Ardian Klosi’s answer on Ardit Gjebrea’s show. On yesterday’s evening program on KO?, Klosi appeared on screen dressed as a mullah. "The aim was to expose this kind of madness. My action will sometimes be given another interpretation. Some will take it as an absurd and ridiculous gesture, but this was a way to show that the media has a role in easing tensions." Fatos Nano Sali Berisha
