Yesterday's events in Shkodër once again showed that the situation in the northern city will not move toward normalization for quite some time. Even on the outskirts of the city, resistance from former militants after the fires in the capital, in a scene quite similar to those in Tirana, while efforts were made to avoid a new escalation of the situation, was negotiated with armed UÇI [?] ranks. Azem Hajdari, arrested by 40 armed men surrounding Shkodër and pressuring the Prefect. Prefect Ali Laçer of PAD intervenes: “Tirana should be careful with Shkodër”. Gryka should be judged free so as not to fuel tensions in the city too much”.

Yesterday's events in Shkodër once again showed that the situation in the northern city will not move toward normalization for quite some time. Even the handcuffs on the police station chief, like the arrest of Azem Hajdari's former bodyguard, are unlikely to calm tempers. On the contrary, violent scenes, rarely recorded in Shkodër, have appeared there after the arrest of the former bodyguard. Armed men have surrounded the prefecture for several hours, with the aim of taking their man back free. As always, the police in this case showed their absence. Still, it was not hard for them to clamp down, since the armed men who had seized the OSCE office and taken the two representatives of the institution hostage are far beyond their strength. What is even more infuriating in this whole affair is the silence of the police spokesperson and of the Ministry of Public Order, which has given signs that it will push us toward the provincialization of Albanian governance and will approve its own structures if the situation is under control. On the contrary, nothing of the sort has happened. This is quite easy to understand if one considers that the map of instability and crime in the country's five most problematic cities has long since shifted almost entirely from the North to the South. This perhaps also explains the government's current lack of interest in a very particular way. Yet how symbolic are the words “97” when, after the dismissed former mayor was arrested, after the attacks and protests, after the subjects who are no longer afraid of the police and the state official? Durrës, poisoned wheat spotted
The 30-ton load had been buried in warehouses
In the last three days, considerable quantities of flour have arrived in the city of Durrës, and still from firms in the Western Market. It is being said here that a shipment of wheat has also been buried. “97” can be verified (?) the owner of this quantity is Mr. M. [?], who had also bought it as a private trader from one of the cities of Durrës. Other people, after from the warehouse area of the port of Durrës, specialists and the private trader have found traces of spoiled wheat.
Clarification later even comes after the opinion of agricultural specialists, that despite these doubts, it will not be buried until everything has been verified later. According to them, burial is ordered after inspection by police specialists. Nevertheless, what has drawn attention is that the wheat shipment turns out to have been distributed by the company “Magi-Durresi”, which has indirect links with several other well-known private groups.
