OPINION Shpëtim NAZARKO After a few days’ pause, the “patriots” of every kind started beating their drums again. An eternal state-budget employee demanded an explanation from the President as to why he had declared only Milošević an enemy and not, for example, the arch-enemy. Another opposition newspaper, which these days depicts the head of state with a large silver sword at his belt and a palanquin supposedly carried behind him by 3–4 people, alluding—without having seen this image—to the 30 million dollars Parliament had given Milošević in 1997 to create chaos. And those 30 million had ensnared the Albanian head of state himself. Looking at all this press turmoil, one would think that the greatest evil Enver Hoxha inflicted on this country was encouraging the vice of parasitism. The people described above, and others, are the best examples for understanding this vice.
