The attack was preceded by bombardments that continued throughout the morning. After this, around 100 Serbian troops surrounded the Kamenica outpost and forced the 15 border guards to retreat under heavy fire. Until 16:30, the Serbs continued to hold the village of Kamenica under their control, setting fire to four of its houses as well. Reinforcements arriving from the Tropojë police station forced the Serbs to withdraw after four hours of resistance, back the way they had come. Meanwhile, two artillery shells fell for the first time in Krumë as well, in a valley, causing casualties only among some livestock grazing there.

A man and a woman changed the route of a passenger train and wanted to stop it from moving any farther because it was crossing their land.
