DURRËS Two Kosovars burned to a crisp Found in a bunker after a week DURRËS - They were shot and then burned. They were locked in a bunker near a village and left there for almost a week. This was the fate of two Kosovars—at least, that is what the police called them—who were found yesterday at around 12:00, burned to a crisp, near the village of Arapaj in Durrës. Nothing more is known about them, except that they may have been of Albanian nationality from Kosovo; this was determined from the signs that criminal police experts found inside the bunker, just 10 metres from the main road. A small child from the nearby village was the first to find the two bodies of these mysterious people. On page 16

Bezhan’s alarm

56 disks containing political secrets disappear from SHIK A careful hand has removed 56 disks containing secret information about the activities of Albanian politicians and state officials from SHIK’s archives. At a press conference, Nafiz Bezhan(i), chairman of the Commission for the Verification of Figures, stated that of the 73 computer disks held in SHIK’s archive, only 17 now remain, while 56 are listed as missing.
