Dash[a]-mir Gjoka is detained for murder, according to anti-crime experts. The 28-year-old, known throughout the Durrës and Shijak area as one of the most powerful businessmen, was accused by police yesterday of murdering Anila Kakili, an incident that took place a few months ago. After he was taken in on Sunday, it was only yesterday, at around 19:00, that Durrës police station officers ordered his detention. The heads of the Ministry of Public Order explained that he is also suspected of being one of the main leaders of drug and prostitution trafficking, but for now there is not enough evidence to bring any new charges. According to police sources, the businessman Gjoka is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder that took place on 3 March this year in the center of Shijak. In the “spectacular” murder, 28-year-old Anila Kakili from Kukës was killed, while a 20-year-old woman from Shijak was wounded by bullets fired from the murderer's pistol. During this period, anti-crime experts had information about the perpetrator of this heinous crime, which shook life in the small town; nevertheless, they waited until the necessary evidence had been gathered before making the arrest. Until late yesterday evening, the police continued documenting the evidence in their possession, so that the court would not spring any surprises. To ensure that the investigative file, which will be submitted to the prosecutor's office, was “buttoned up,” ministry officials also followed the process closely. Gjoka's reputation has raised fears of some “misjudgment” by the court, as has happened in many other cases. Meanwhile, if the black-robed judges order him held in prison, prosecutors will have the necessary time to gather evidence for the suspicions concerning Gjoka's activities. In recent years, the 28-year-old from Sallmone has been engaged in business and has set up several restaurants and luxurious venues in the area between Durrës and Shijak.
