Well, not two manipulated polls, as the American magazine suspected, but two seriously prepared studies, carried out on a broad public scale. Namely, one for the two siglas of the left-wing parties and the second for the preferences within the political elite of the left spectrum. The somewhat congressist, unjust conclusion of the PS congress meant that the two publicly made counter-scenarios and two backstage click-clacks translated into figures that included, in the political elite, at least the perception that the electorate had regarding the yesterday's and today's figures of the Albanian left. From Arta Dade, with her steadfast admirers in Tirana, to Fatos Nano, who had over 80 percent of left-wing sympathizers in his favor. The figures speak more than comments and analyses; every line of this poll is a powerful sketch of public preferences within the crisis of the Albanian socialists. On the other hand, the other leading names following this race, such as Ilir Meta, Paskal Milo, Neritan Ceka, Kastriot Islami, Ylli Bufi, Sabit Brokaj, Rexhep Mejdani, have been placed at different edges of the table and graph, clearly showing the movement of the electorate from one figure to another. According to the editorial notes, some of the names and figures are difficult to fully decipher in this photo reproduction, but the table clearly presents the idea of the duel within the left.
