THE KOSENI PRISONERS The “General” enjoys prison soup together with Kateshi, Mandela’s men and the Lushnja gang. COMMENT Of all the returns to power throughout history, perhaps the most glorious is considered to be Napoleon’s return. But in his return there is a scene on which almost all biographers agree. When Napoleon came out on the first day to see the crowds celebrating his return, he was shaken. All the old marshals were missing. They had died or were no longer on his side. Only much later, historians say, did the tired Fushëja arrive. This impression came to mind immediately when you watched a press conference by Nano a few days before the Congress. A group gathered around him at once, but the former chairman soon left them to see the candidates and others. Without a doubt, in 1991, after the great overthrow, a choice had to be made between Pashko’s shock-therapy theory and Nano’s gradual-transition theory. This was also for the simple reason that, in the absence of grand, ready-made theories, when in a difficult position, the tendency is not to take the initiative, but to stabilize it.
