HE WAS AN NCO IN SHIK TIRANË - The gunman was the driver of Prime Minister Majko’s adviser for National Security. Shqyrri Muça was also an NCO in SHIK. Yesterday, at around 22:00, two as-yet-unidentified people blocked the road in front of the BMW with German license plates in which the secret-service NCO was traveling. Shqyrri Muça and a friend of his, Agim Celibashi, were in the lane in front of the apartment building where the latter lived, near the “Naim Frashëri” school. A burst of fire from a PMS automatic weapon, made in Poliqan, was directed at the victims’ car. The bullets struck Muça fatally, while Celibashi was still—first aid had arrived from the building’s residents. The police have begun examining the traces found in the car, while inside it, on the front seat, there were still half a loaf of bread and a bag of sausages, stained with the blood of the two victims, which may have been their dinner. The car was found a few meters away from the building entrance. Apparently, after the attack it had rolled on without the driver controlling it. For the moment, police experts have been unable to provide a precise account of the motives for this attack, as the investigation is still in its early stages.
