Elbasan / Third case shrouded in mystery A 27-year-old from Klos in Elbasan, sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment, ended his life on Thursday morning using a bedsheet. Eduart Meta, who for a year had seen nothing but walls, wire fencing and police officers, was being held in the cells of Kosovo Prison on charges of armed robbery. The apparent routine of a year in confinement came to an end when, suddenly, on a sunny day, he went into the bathroom with a bedsheet and took his own life. The incident has been shrouded in mystery and has still not been clarified by the investigative authorities. The many theories put forward regarding the suicide have yet to produce a basic piece of evidence that would prove any of the possible lines of inquiry. ... On page 19
