After seven months Nehat Kulla’s son has been released from prison. Robert, 20, left the courtroom unhandcuffed after the hearing held the day before yesterday. The panel of judges, presided over by Kreshnik Omari, released the “general’s” son in the courtroom. Accused of unlawful possession of a firearm, he was released after several months in prison. After examining all the physical evidence, the court sentenced him only to the time he had spent in pretrial detention. At a hearing that did not last long, Kulla was released in the courtroom, since the days he had spent in prison were deemed sufficient, pending the final ruling. Robert was detained on 12 September last year and, after being released once, was sent back to prison again, also for unlawful possession of a firearm.
