I thank with all my heart all those hundreds and hundreds of friends, acquaintances and strangers, work colleagues or political opponents who took part in the funeral ceremony for my dear father, Pali, who suffered from an incurable disease, a disease that brought him to the brink of death for nearly 30 days. A special thanks also goes to the doctors who, with dedication, worked for his recovery, even though death proved stronger than science; doctor dr. Arben Ivana, hematologist and at the same time Deputy Minister of Health; head of the Hematology service at QSUT Tirana, Pali Xhumari; directors in the laboratory service at QSUT, Teuta Dedej; director of the hospital of Lezhë, Pash Gjokaj; hematologist in Lezhë, Gjovalin Leka, as well as the group of nurses at the number one hospital at QSUT Tirana, and at the hospital of Lezhë.
