In the Sunday 26 September 2010 issue of “Gazeta Shqiptare”, the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, Professor Doctor Anastas Janullatos stated, among other things, that “I was not enthroned in a hotel, but in the cathedral.” This was a response to the statement by scholar Kristo Frashëri, who in “Gazeta Shqiptare” of 20 September 2010 had emphasized that “Janullatos, bishop enthroned in the Tirana hotel.” Janullatos thus rejects Frashëri’s claims, but witnesses from the time, that is, from 2 August 1992, the day Janullatos’s enthronement had been scheduled, tell a different story.
