The Commissioner for Enlargement in the European Commission, Stefan Fyle, has asked Prime Minister Sali Berisha to take responsibility for resolving the political deadlock in Albania. In a letter he sent on 24 September, Fyle writes to the head of the Albanian government that: “electoral reforms require cooperation in Parliament. As prime minister, you share with the other political leaders the responsibility for finding a way out of this dead end.” The Commissioner asks Prime Minister Berisha to ensure that the OSCE recommendations are fulfilled in time, so that the upcoming local elections...
