Two men approached him on a motorcycle while Avllaj was traveling in his vehicle and, from very close range, opened fire on him, wounding him, luckily, only in the shoulder. The attackers are said to have been waiting for Avllaj on a somewhat unlit bend at the intersection of “Todi Shkurti” and “Mihal Grameno” streets, or, as it is otherwise known, the road leading to ‘Grand’ in “Ali Demi”.
