The former political prisoner Hysen Shoshori escaped execution by death only 47 days after he had been sentenced to be shot by the Tirana District Court. It took the 19 signatures of the members of the Supreme Court Plenum to convert the death sentence into just 25 years in prison. Hysen Shoshori was only 41 years old and had managed to distribute 41,100 leaflets against the communist dictatorship. In the two decisions of the communist courts, that of the Tirana district court that sentenced him to death and later also that of the Supreme Court Plenum that sentenced him to 25 years in prison, it is shown what actually happened to the record-holder of leaflets.
