The “map” of gruesome executions stretches from the north to the south of our country, while the motives for the crimes are varied: property disputes, blood feuds, settling scores on behalf of different traffickers, and even gang fights. The latest killing was recorded yesterday afternoon in the village of Gjashtë, in the Sarandë district. A bar owner was riddled by a hail of Kalashnikov bullets, while two of his fellow villagers, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, were seriously wounded. Official local police sources say that 45-year-old Ardian Beqiri was shot dead by a man from Delvina, who has been declared wanted. Although the target of the attack was Beqiri, in this serious incident the 32-year-old Ferdinand Zhango and the 21-year-old Orest Zylfaj were also injured.
