EPP President: The opposition leader is against Albania By DARINA TANUSHI The chairman of the PS, Edi Rama, reacted indignantly to the statements of the chairman of the EPP Parliamentary Group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Luca Volonte, during the meeting with Prime Minister Berisha. Based on the Council of Ministers’ statement, Rama says in the declaration distributed by the PS press office that: “it is not the first time that second-rate figures of the European right have become part of smear campaigns against the Albanian opposition, side by side with Sali Berisha”. “Nevertheless, no matter how much the chairman of the Democratic Party slanders and insults the opposition, and whatever backing some European right-wing figure may give him, the Socialist Party has done, in this political year for European integration and for candidate status for Albania, as much as no opposition has ever done before”, the statement, on behalf of the Socialist leader, says....
