The lawsuit: They caused harm to my child’s health By THIMI SAMARXHIU The Tirana Court rejects the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and reinstates Selvi Beçaj, daughter of the President of the Supreme Court, Shpresa Beçaj. The decision was issued yesterday at midday by judge Elda Vrioni, who for about a month has been hearing the lawsuit filed by Beçaj against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over her dismissal from the post of First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Albania to the OSCE, Vienna. Selvi Beçaj was dismissed from this post by an order dated 24.01.2012, after, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she had been absent from her duties for a long period. However, she justified her absence by saying that only two months earlier she had given birth to her daughter and, because of her health condition, she had not been able to return to duty on time.
