The maritime agreement with Albania “provoked Turkey.” These words were said just a few days ago by former Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyani in an interview for the program “New Files,” broadcast on the state channel SKAI. In this program Bakoyani, together with other well-known Greek figures, sheds light on the backstage of the much-discussed agreement, which for Greece was a perfect agreement.
But Greek journalist Stavros Lygeros goes so far as to claim that Turkey intervened harshly by bribing the court to overturn this agreement. The former Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyani, when asked by the journalist of the program “New Files,” expresses in a certain sense regret over the collapse of this agreement, which in her view had fulfilled all the goals of Greek foreign policy. ....
