After Kastriot Islami was expelled from the parliamentary group, the Socialist Party also requested his removal from the parliamentary delegations where he is represented, according to some pink-house sources. But this request was rejected yesterday by Parliament with 71 votes in favor and 62 against. In the last plenary session of 2011, the head of the PS group, Gramoz Ruçi, asked that another name replace Islami in the assembly of the Council of Europe, proposing a balance between the majority and the opposition. “According to the Council of Europe rules, the relations between the majority and the opposition in the parliamentary delegation should be balanced. Two mandates for the majority and two mandates for the opposition, and the same number of substitutes. This is precisely the moment for the Albanian Parliament, also within the framework of this cooperation... this is the first test the majority can give, since until now the opposition has given tests,” Ruçi said...
