Dismantling will be completed within two years By VALENTINA MADANI The Minister of Defence, Arben Imami, warned yesterday of a deep reform in the Albanian Armed Forces. He signalled the departure from duty of 800 military personnel, who according to him will be replaced through other missions. Minister Imami made this statement yesterday during the one-year assessment of defence. “Whoever leaves will go, whoever needs to come should come. The reduction will be 800, but with this capacity that will be phased out we will fill personnel for other missions,” Imami stated. He pointed out that the new structure of the Armed Forces is now ready. “This review has focused on reducing the number of personnel, eliminating parasitic structures and thus simultaneously increasing the basic operational formations.
