However, even the most peaceful gatherings can turn violent By THIMI SAMARXHIU One week before the gathering expected to be held by the Socialist Party, in memory of the victims of 21 January 2011, the American Embassy once again, through a message, warns its citizens to stay away from the gathering, since although a peaceful gathering has been announced, the situation can change from one moment to the next. “The Albanian Socialist Party has announced the holding of a public gathering on Saturday, 21 January 2012. Current information indicates that the gathering will take place along Tirana’s main boulevard ‘Dëshmorët e Kombit’ opposite the Prime Minister’s Office as well as in other places in the city. The Socialist Party has also called for gatherings in other cities in the country to be held on the same day.
